What We Do

Pool renovation isn’t just cosmetics. We deal with structural shell repair — cracked concrete, corroded rebar — as well as pipework leaks, which we diagnose through pressure testing and camera probes. When a pool needs retiling, we always lay a proper waterproofing membrane underneath, because tiles alone won’t keep the water where it belongs. We handle regrouting too, both standard and epoxy, depending on the application.

Over the years we’ve seen pools built from plain brick, pools plumbed with sewer pipe, and shells with no reinforcement at all. Whether you need swimming pool construction defects fixed or a complete renovation, we handle it properly.

Common Problems
Why Pools Fail

Most serious pool problems come down to bad workmanship during construction or materials that weren’t right for the job. Sewer pipe instead of pressure-rated plumbing. PVC joints glued in a hurry without curing time. Concrete shells without proper steel mesh reinforcement. No waterproofing membrane under the tiles.

We fix construction defects and renovation failures every week — and we fix them so they don’t come back.

The Key Step
Waterproofing

Whether we’re doing a full pool renovation or just replacing tiles, we always apply a proper waterproofing membrane before the tiles go on. It’s a two-component product applied over a reinforcing mesh that covers the entire inner surface. Think of it like a flexible rubber lining inside the concrete shell — even if the shell moves slightly, which over time most do, the membrane keeps water where it belongs.

Concrete alone, even good concrete, is porous. Many older pools were built without any waterproofing layer. We consider that a major oversight.

Questions & Answers
Pool Renovation FAQ

How much does it cost to renovate a pool in Spain?

Pool renovation starts from around €3,000, depending on the size and condition. We confirm a fixed price after inspecting the shell, tiling and circulation.

Should I repair or rebuild my pool?

It depends on the state of the shell. If the tile bond has failed across the whole surface and the shell is leaking, a patch repair rarely holds — sometimes pouring a new shell inside the existing one is the better long-term option. We assess and give you an honest recommendation.

Do you fix leaking pools and re-tile?

Yes — leak tracing and repair, re-tiling, skimmer and circulation repairs, pump-room work and new shells are all part of what we do.

What are the common pool problems on the Costa Blanca?

Tiles debonding around the perimeter, water not circulating because skimmers or impulsors are disconnected, leaking shells, and corrosion in the pump room from escaping moisture.

How long does a pool renovation take?

It depends on whether it is a repair or a full rebuild. We give you a realistic timeline before starting.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover the Costa Blanca — including Javea, Moraira, Calpe, Altea, Benidorm, La Nucia, Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja and the surrounding towns.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. We give a workmanship guarantee — up to 5 years on structural and waterproofing work, with shorter periods on other work — covering defects in how we carried out the job. Installed equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty. Full terms are on our workmanship guarantee page.
