In the humid coastal climate of Costa Blanca, you can’t just slap paint over a damp wall and expect it to stick. We see this constantly: freshly painted homes that look great for three months, then the underlying damp, mould, or failing plaster comes right back through. Proper painting starts with identifying and fixing what’s underneath.

Every surface gets assessed before a brush touches it. Damp patches get investigated and treated at the source — not just painted over. Cracks get opened, filled with flexible filler, and sanded smooth. Flaking old paint gets fully removed, not just scraped at the edges. Exterior walls get a proper primer rated for the conditions. We use quality paint throughout — not the cheapest tin from the hardware store, but product that’s formulated for UV resistance and coastal humidity. Two coats minimum on everything, three on exteriors.

Interior work includes walls, ceilings, woodwork, and decorative finishes. We mask meticulously and protect all flooring and furniture. Exterior work includes facade painting, balcony walls, garage doors, and metalwork. For exteriors, we use elastomeric paint where needed — it bridges hairline cracks and flexes with thermal movement rather than cracking. Metal surfaces get rust-treated and primed before topcoating. The Spanish sun is brutal on exterior paint — the right product and preparation make the difference between a job that lasts one year and one that lasts ten.
